Snow Day

We got home from Utah just in time for the Ridgecrest snow.  It starting snowing Sunday afternoon and kept it up almost all evening.  The trees and yards were beautiful by the time we went to bed.  We woke up to even more snow and were glad to get the call that school was canceled for the day. Hooray!

It was starting to melt when we went out to build our snowman around 10:30 am.  But we got some good snow fun in.  Even Mr. Snowy joined in on the snowball fight.
After getting our fill in the front yard, Anna and Lydia still had enough energy to help me tackle the backyard.  For two desert girls, I was surprised at how well they could roll a snowball.  It was really great packing snow, but melting fast! They got tired and went in after the finishing the bottom part of the fort and I really wanted to go in to spend family time with them. But I just had to keep at it til I'd made good use of every bit of snow out there.

That looks like a really great snow for, or is it a snowman family? Looks fun either way.

Would you like me to send you some more snow. I'd be happy to get rid of some of ours... Really. It won't make me feel bad at all.

You're right, Marsha, a fort. I have never in my life actually finished a fort with the roof on top and everything. Is it even possible to make a roof on top?

Sheila, we'll most definately take some. Send it on down...and thanks for your generousity! :)
