Happy Birthday, Prince Charming

If you know Nathan well, you may know that he's long had a thing for frogs.  We still have a ceramic frog that he fashioned in Jr. High art class.  He wrote a really cool song about a princess and a frog back in his single days (now dedicated to me, of course.)  If you haven't heard it, you have to ask to sometime.  Frogs were involved in our first Christmas and Valentine's gifts.  We have been the lucky recipients of frog-themed wedding and other gifts ever since.

So this year the kids and I couldn't pass up the chance to surprise him with a "Princess and the Frog" birthday party.  He was gracious enough to go along with it.  The girls loved putting on their princess dresses.  Sam played the frog in his green shirt.  Nathan was indeed a charming prince.

And these are the fixin's for the "real" costume (that will be ready) for him wear when we go to see the movie in couple of weeks.
Happy Birthday, Prince Charming!

I have to say I thought of you when that movie came out!! The boys are looking forward to seeing it--I heard that it's not too "princessy" for boys!! Good to see you're having fun while you live so far away!!
