Lydia's Surgery

Lydia is going in for eye surgery this Thursday. They'll be detaching some muscles on each eye and reattaching in a different place to correct her mild eye-crossing. I know it's a simple procedure, but I'm still a little nervous. Anesthesia and intubatation seems like a lot bigger deal to me than it used to. We're really grateful (and so excited!) to have Grandma and Grandpa Shelton coming to stay with Sam and Anna so that Nathan and I can both be with Lydia. Keep her in your prayers!
Lydia has been wearing these cool eye patches two hours a day for a month now. She's such a trooper. They're intended to improve the vision in her weaker eye. Her ophthalmologist thinks she'll only have to wear them for a couple of months. We'll see at her next check-up. (Isn't she pretty!)

We'll definately be praying for you all and especially for Lydia. She's had to face a lot of obstacles in her short life and this is one she will probably remember. I hope all goes well.

She's so grown up now! I with you- that sounds a little more major than just a minor procedure. I'll be thinking of you all! Hope all goes well!

Hey...Jane will be having this surgery hopefully in April, perhaps beginning of May. Her vision improved to 20/20 with the patch, but her eye just won't straighten out so we're going to go ahead with the surgery. Her eye patches were way boring compared to Lydia's! I will be praying for you guys and can't wait to hear how it goes! Good luck!
